When a group of seven friends plan a Eastern-India trip, you know from where to start! Yes, our starting point was The City of Joy- Kolkata. We took the help of various travel-review forums to find the best Hotel for our 2 days and 3 nights stay and The Pride Hotel came first among the Best luxury hotels in Kolkata. So, we booked two premium rooms and one deluxe suite. There was an ongoing offer on premium rooms and suite bookings.
When our flight landed and we got a chance to switch on our phones, we immediately got a call from the Hotel informing us that our complimentary pick-up from the Airport is ready and will be reaching the gates in no time! Surprised, we were jumping in joy! Really, we thought, this hotel had to be the best among all hotels in Kolkata near Newtown. On arrival, we were offered welcome drinks and all the rooms were given a complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates, fresh flowers, a fruit basket and newspapers.
We were offered a complimentary buffet breakfast in the next morning. We had to go out for our trip plans on that day, and we were home again by 4 pm. The heat was scorching outside, so we decided to chill at the pool and what a nice and beautiful pool it was! We enjoyed there till 6 and had a sumptuous supper at the Lounge Bar.
On the next day two of my friends wanted to try the in-house spa as we needed some relaxation before setting off to another journey on the next day. I also accompanied them to the spa and the therapist was so nice that she assisted me in choosing the exact massage I required based on my lifestyle as I was totally novice about this.
The next day was a Sunday and we enjoyed an exotic Brunch at their Café Treat on the ground floor. The food was really melt-in-your-mouth. We checked out later on with unforgettable experiences that kick-started our trip.
